| So, I'm not good at typing ramblings in this LJ... Xanga is updated semi-regularly, I guess.
Anyway, school, sleep, Jon, friends, family < My life right now
Tomorrow's Matt's 21st, so that should be interesting. I have a bottle of tequila I need to get rid of, so that'll probably be where it should go. :) Into making sure he almost dies of alcohol poisoning just like he made sure I almost died of alcohol poisoning on my 21st. (Seriously, does everyone have to almost die on their 21st?)

| So, uneventful day. I failed once again to get my halloween costume. *le sigh* Nothing looks appealing at the store, and I'm too lazy to make one. Bah, humbug.
I took my killer German Novelle midterm yesterday. It went really well! I think I got all of the information right, now I just have to work on my grammar! x.x;; Oh god, I don't want to know what my paper's going to look like when I get it back. At least I can revise all my mistakes for the credit back... Thank god I get all the grammar credit back if I revise it. I'd be soooo very screwed.

I got a raise ($8.50/hr to sit on my butt, baby!)
I'm possibly getting another job (MEEG research assistant?)
I like Thermodynamics (OMG, Engineering!)
Biochemistry EATS MY SOUL. (I cry so hard)
Carolyn is officially the best and coolest sister ever (I'm sorry, Rebecca, you fail it)
I'm joining Alpha Phi Omega, but I'm not a very good pledge (I can't help it that I have no time, damnit)
Magic: The Gathering is being played a lot, and this is starting to concern me (I swear I'm not that dorky...)
German Novelles aren't as short as my teacher led me to believe (grr, German, why?)
The NWQ is infinitely awesome, and it's totally worth it to live there (I still got my $1k check from scholarship :P EAT IT)
Starbucks is awesome to its employees, and I want free coffee and stock options. ( :( )

| After watching about 4 hours worth of cable tv 'real life' medical shows, I remember why I want to go to med school. The things you're exposed to are just so cool, and the tools of the trade can be so spiffy. I really think I want to be a radiologist. They get the most fun toys.

| Today is crap. Mom's been on one of her "you lazy brats" rampages...
About two weeks ago, Dusty was knocked out by the couch (long story), I had to do rescue breaths for him, and Jon and I took him to the emergency vet (we were the only ones home). Well, when the parents came back, dad insisted that he and mom pay for the bill, because Dusty is their dog and I'm just a lowly college student.
Fast forward to today, when mom is calling me a lazy bum and an ungrateful brat for making 'her' pay for Dusty's bill along with my car insurance (which noone told me was due, and I usually at least chip in on).
God, I just don't want to be here anymore!!! I've written her checks for Dusty's bill (which she just paid me for yesterday) and the insurance, and I'm packing up ALL my stuff. Not just the stuff I need, all of it. I'm not living in this house for another summer. I'm not even sure if I'll be back for Christmas, seeing as the Quad stays open year-round. I'm sick of being constantly belittled by her, and I'm not going to take it anymore. I'm looking towards going to school all this next year with minimal visits home, and saving up enough money to get a crappy car and an apartment in Little Rock next summer. | It's amazing this drunken post haapeend, because I recently changed my password, and Michael had the keyboard set to Dvorak.
Ha ha, he bought me raspberry smirnoff vodka instead of the malt beverages! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
So, I'm really happey that the camp is over. I'm all home safe and sound, and mellowing out after the experience.
I didn't get to see the kids much, but when peoplewere around, they were so uptight and bossy. (Especially the people from Kansas city)

Oh no! My boss has discovered that I do nothing but log my adventures and play Puzzle Pirates all night, and has given me the job of removing and replacing name tags on the doors tonight. Dang it. I've already completed said task, but it was so close to doing actual work that I got a little uncomfortable. :P
Also: I might be expected to put already-assembled goody bags into rooms tomorrow afternoon. Oh the horror. :P
On a side note: I did laundry today. You know, I really have all the free time in the world during this job, the only requirement is that I be in the hallway between 11pm and 7am. That's it. They really don't ask me to do much at all. Anyway, I did laundry and watched CSI whilst it was washing/drying, but... I still haven't folded or hung up any of it. It's not like I didn't have time... I'm just a lazy bum. Maybe I'll do that some time tonight.
I'm almost out of Dr. Pepper. I'm rationing myself tonight. Only allowing myself to drink 2 of the 4 left. >.o I need morrrrrrre. :( I ran out of Mtn Dew last night. I am le sad. If I'm not too busy tomorrow, I'll make a WalMart run. But it looks like I might actually be expected to do something tomorrow. Dang it. I still have espresso. Yum. I just like soda over coffee most of the time.

#1 - HOLY CRAP, RAIN! It's amazing what's happening outside. Why is noone being woken up by this storm? *le sigh* They're not even STIRRING. I swear, they're all robots, and someone somewhere has a camera on me, watching to see when I crack. They're going to prevent me from getting the soda I so desperately need for tomorrow in hopes of driving me over sooner. OMG, THE WALLS HAVE EARS.
#2 - I was annoyed by those pictures of the ASMS(A) tshirt making my site all scrolly, so I set them to 1000 pixels, and linked them to the normal size pics (NOTE TO LJ: I did this in Xanga, but there's no problem on my LJ). Because I'm that awesome. I don't like the way Xanga has switched over to a more LJ type post editor. I liked being able to have my preview right here in the box, and be able to click a box to have the html unmasked for me. :( It's actually less work to type up my own code now. *le sigh* I guess I should've already been doing it anyway.

| My job here in Fayetteville is to be the night monitor. I am to sit at a desk in the hallway watching for kids trying to sneak out or dying or something. My monitoring starts and 11pm and ends at 7am. I have Dr. Pepper, Mtn Dew, and espresso. Weeeeeeeeeee. I'll keep a log every night to keep me sane (hey, it's something to do). And, look, I'm actually writing in my LJ! :D

Well, now it's time to see if I can stay up all night and not go crazy. :) Jon has introduced me to Puzzle Pirates, so I think I'll be just fine. It's so much fun! :) Plus, I'm on an SA goon crew! Double Plus Good! :D

All clear, all clear, all clear. I have to make rounds every hour or hour and a half, and I have to answer some simple yes or no questions on a form. I already find myself not reading the questions, just answering like I did last time. Ha ha. The most exciting thing that's happened hall-wise is that one of the showers was dripping and I turned it off. I was tempted to put this in the "Was there anything of interest happening?" section, but I refrained. It's not really interesting.
I feel sorry for the girls in the room right behind my desk. One of them keeps tossing and turning. I think my typing is kind of annoying. :'( Maybe I'll move my desk a little to the left for tomorrow night (it'd be too noisy to do it now).

I'm currently in Fayetteville doing the whole summer residential counselor type thing. It's been fun, and it's only for a week and a half, I can manage.
I learned how to bypass the school's retarded program that keeps people off the internet if they don't have all their Windows updates. Huzzah! ResNet thinks I'm an Intel Mac running OSX :D Yay! I love Firefox like whooooa. :D
